Frequently Asked Questions

When are the training days?

We meet each Sunday during the season from 9:30-2:00pm.

What is your cold weather policy?

We expect each skier to be dressed appropriately for winter skiing conditions, but will cancel training days if the morning temperature is below -20C.

Can we send money for lunch to purchase at the lodge?

We ask that families send a packed lunch with the skier as 30 minutes is often not enough time to order food, eat and get ready to head back out.

Do we have to participate in ski racing events?

All sanctioned and unsanctioned racing events are optional.
While we encourage racers to attend, on the days when there are races we will have normal training days at the hill for those who are unable to attend.

What sort of equipment is required?

Ski helmets (not bicycle helmets), snow gear, skis, poles, and boots are all required. These can either be rented from the ski lodge or purchased.

How are ski groups decided?

Skiers will be placed into ski groups based on their age and ski level.
Placements will be conducted on the first training day and can be adjusted based on the coaches discretion throughout the season.
